Ledger x Linkdrop:
The most secure NFT claim experience
The future of crypto is bright
On the recent Ledger Op3n, the company has revealed many amazing updates, as well as their plans and vision of crypto usage in the future.

We feel that Ledger believes that crypto is rapidly moving towards not just being an ordinary daily commodity such as credit cards and banking apps & services, but going far beyond it, storing and managing your digital identities, collectibles, and money, covering ticketing and membership management.
UX issues of obtaining crypto assets offline
Some obvious problems, such as the lack of various ways to distribute and obtain crypto assets, especially when it needs to be done quickly and easily, for cases such as receiving a ticket or a pass, remain open though.
It could be tricky in some cases, especially when you need to distribute assets without knowing the receiver’s Ethereum address. Crypto is not well adapted to that.
The exact same case needed to be covered for the Ledger Infinity Pass distribution on Ledger Op3n.
Ledger needed help building NFT claim experience
Our partners in Ledger have minted Infinity Passes NFTs and wanted to distribute them to those who showed interest in the company products and attended Ledger Op3n.
There were a few main concerns:
— it should have been an entertaining process, in which users can physically participate and have fun
— you should have been present at the event to get your NFT
— crypto addresses of users were not known in advance
Linkdrop NFT claiming tech via QRs was the perfect fit!
1. Ledger has generated a batch of QR codes using Linkdrop custom dashboard, specially provided to them
2. Ledger printed a set of cards with those QRs
3. As soon as the NFT collection was ready, Ledger has generated links using the same dashboard, and connected them to QRs
4. Ledger has installed vending machines to distribute cards with QR codes printed on them
5. Users would come to the vending machine, press a button to get a card, and then scan the QR to follow the smooth Linkdrop NFT claim flow
6. Linkdrop has customized the claim flow to allow:
— smooth integration with Ledger Live — users got forwarded to the LL app with deep links and used Linkdrop claim service as a dApp inside the application, having the native Ledger Live experience.
— manual claim as an option that allowed users to get an NFT just by entering their ENS name or Eth address

Users were really curious to claim an NFT not to miss the perks it could bring in the future, taking into account the numerous innovations Ledger is bringing to the field.
Easily build the same flow as Ledger did
Ledger Op3n flow is of the many amazing NFT claim flows Linkdrop has built so far, working on turning NFTs into physical things, such as paper cards and receipts, that could be redeemed into a crypto asset.
The V2 of Linkdrop dashboard is coming in early 2023 and will be having numerous UX upgrades and all the features that will easily allow you to run the same campaign Ledger did, all by yourself!
